Counselling
Counselling provides assessment, treatment and referral services to children, youth and adults affected by their own or someone else's substance use concerns.
Services are provided throughout the East Kootenay.
In order to make an appointment, we require a completed Client Intake Form (click the top right-hand corner of this page).
Counselling is offered to clients in person (with a mask), by phone or virtually. Depending on the individual's situation, sessions can be offered at an alternate location.
In the first few counselling sessions, the client and counsellor work together to develop goals and a treatment plan that fits the client's needs. Clients typically meet with their counsellor every one to two weeks in the early stage of counselling. This often becomes less frequent as clients make progress towards their goals.
