DUE TO COVID 19, PLEASE CALL THE CONTACTS FOR ANY MEETINGS ON THE SELF HELP GROUP SCHEDULES FOR YOUR AREA BEFORE ATTENDING, AS MANY GROUPS HAVE BEEN CANCELLED OR HAVE ALTERNATIVE WAYS OF PROVIDING SERVICE.
The links below will take you to a list of self-help groups available in the East Kootenay. Groups include Alcoholics Anonymous, Narcotics Anonymous, Cocaine Anonymous, Overeaters Anonymous, Alanon and others. Hard copies of the schedules can be found at all our locations as well. EKASS updates their lists regularly based on information provided from the various groups but cannot guarantee that meeting times or locations may not have changed. It is recommended that one call the contact numbers on the schedules to confirm a meeting time and location.
Self-help groups, also known as mutual help, mutual aid, or support groups, are groups of people who provide mutual support for each other. In a self-help group, the members share a common problem, often a common disease or addiction.
